Brohl, Committee on the Marine Transportation System, was selected to replace Dr. Sandra Knight on the PIANC USA Commission. She will serve a four year term which began on August 1, 2010. Make plans to attend the PIANC USA 2010 Annual Meeting and stay for the National Waterways Conference 50th Anniversary Meeting - separate registration required (www.waterways.org More information: Full story Leadership Positions in Inland and Maritime Navigation CommissionsThe PIANC Secretariat recently announced that the following two mandates in the Executive Committee have come to an end: Inland Navigation Commission (InCom): Mr. Ian White is ending his first mandate as Chair of InCom and he has indicated that he will not apply for a second one. InCom link: http://www.pianc.org/incom.asp Maritime Navigation Commission (MarCom): Mr. Geoffroy Caude, MarCom Chair since 2007, will end his first mandate. He is willing to continue chairing MarCom, but he is also applying for the PIANC President position. If he will be designated as PIANC President, it will prevent him from chairing MarCom; therefore they are asking for other candidates at this time. A collaborative event, the Congress will feature short courses, round tables, workshops, and speakers organized by the Institute's technical committees.
