PIANC USA will hold its 2012 Annual Meeting on Monday, August 27, in downtown Pittsburgh at the Omni William Penn Hotel. The meeting, followed by a networking reception at the hotel, will be held in conjunction with many other maritime meetings happening in Pittsburgh during the week of August 27-31.
The PIANC meeting’s Opening Plenary Luncheon will feature speakers such as Terrence C. "Rock" Salt, Principal, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works), and Major General Michael Walsh (DCG-CEO), and a special presentation by Mr. Carlos Mladinic, Secretary of the Inter-American Committee on Ports at the Organization of American States, on Latin American port and dredging issues. The technical sessions will focus on the latest advancements and current ‘hot topic’ issues for the navigation and maritime community — including a special session on E-Navigation.

Annual Conference 2009: The USACE Pittsburgh District organized the technical tour to the Emsworth Locks and Dams on the Ohio River. Attendees are shown boarding the M/V Princess, where project briefings were provided en route.
