PIANC and the Technical Association for Ports and Coasts invite you to attend the 2nd Mediterranean Days of Coastal and Port Engineering this May in Valencia, Spain. The theme of this year's conference is "INFRASTRUCTURE, LOGISTICS & SUSTAINABILITY". The conference is being held in conjunction with this year's PIANC Annual General Assembly (AGA), with the effort to promote, implement and disseminate the design and construction techniques of facilities for maritime and river navigation.
In accordance with the goals of both organizations, the aim is to share technical analyses relating to these three main areas, based on experience learned from the long process of structural and functional duration of the works and actions, starting with the planning, design, project and construction stages right up to the service stage, when the processes of functionality, maintenance and relationship with the environment are developed.
Maritime INFRASTRUCTURES, for both the development of port activities as such and any other kind of coastal actions, including the many aspects that determine their functional and structural success.
LOGISTICS, referring to activities and actions whose framework is in the inside and outside areas related to ports, with special interest in actions focusing on the design and operation of all types of terminals and auxiliary areas.
SUSTAINABILITY of coastal and port engineering undertakings, in the natural framework in which they are located, as well as in the fields related to their economic and social profitability.
