News StoryHeadland Elected to International Leadership PositionThe PIANC Executive Committee (ExCom) and Council recently nominated a new Vice-President to serve amongst their ranks. Mr. Shiv Batra's (Tetra Tech) term as the Western Hemisphere Vice-President was coming to an end this year, so the U.S. Section nominated Mr. John Headland (Moffatt & Nichol) to replace him on the ExCom. Mr. Headland has been active within CoCom and in two PIANC Working Groups. Moreover, he has been a PIANC USA Commissioner since 2005. Therefore, given this experience within the Association, the ExCom nominated Mr. Headland to become the new Vice-President, and the General Assembly approved his nomination in Berlin on May 17, 2011. Congratulations to Mr. Headland!
