McCarville's Run for PIANC President

The U.S. Section is excited about the upcoming "historic" PIANC Presidential election, especially since we are putting forth our own candidate: Mr. James McCarville of the Port of Pittsburgh Commissioner (and current Eastern Region Vice President on the US Commission). The election of the new President will occur during the AGA in Berlin, Germany, in May 2011. There are four candidates total, including Philippe Rigo, Belgium; Geoffroy Caude, France; and Christian De Meyer, Belgium (nominated by the UK Section). Each will have 15 minutes at the AGA to present their Policy Plan, followed by 5 minutes Q&A, during which only First Delegates are entitled to raise questions. This is the first time an election has been held for the position of PIANC President. Each member country will be assigned a set number of votes based on its membership count.
